lol Cold - no way I love this weather. 22 - 27 with low humidity is perfect, fall weather without the falling leaves.

so are you coming to the meet this weekend???

Sadly no. I really do have to go to a wedding for people I have never met and stand around while they wax poetic over their undying love. I am not a mushy person so this will be a painful experience. Luckily weddings are the one occasion where you can take lots of pictures and no one complains. Hopefully my rather ill camera will make it! I dropped it a few months ago and it's performance has been unpredictable at best. I'm waiting until the fall to buy a new one, as the cost of fixing mine is more then I originally paid for the camera (which makes no sense to me). I'm rambling,it's early, I'll stop now. *grin*

Hi All,

I would be interested in joining in for some fun too. But, what is at Rattlesnake Point that is worth shooting? I have been there many times and find it a bit boring.

What about the Toronto Zoo or over on the Toronto Islands?

The Toronto Islands offer lots of photographic opportunities. Lots of action, people, happy faces on cute kids, animals, water, incredible city vistas, the cottagers, boats, haunted lighthouse, beaches and beach babes (not gender specific, the nude beach (not really for me however - too many fat, balding grey hair gay guys, nothing that interests me [lol]), the little island fire house, the old and the new schools, the water fountains, the life-sized hedge maze, the incredible gardens, folks on bicycles, tandem bicycles, quad bicycles, and much more.

Gee, I have convinced myself! That is where I think I will go this weekend. Anyone else?

Cheers,
Michael

Well Darkrider, I have to work on Saturday to make up for the time I lost being sick. I was getting kinda excited about getting out and my wife was all for it to! I guess I'll have to wait till next time. Who ever goes will have to post some pics so that we can see for sure. Maybe if this outting goes well there be another one right around the corner. Have fun all that go. I'll be sitting at work!

This sounds like fun as well. Maybe you should plan this adventure for perhaps the following weekend when more of us can attend. I know I'd really like to go but seeing that I have never been to Rattlesnake point I have already made plans to go and am looking forward to it. Sorry mate maybe next time.

The day trip was a lot of fun. NOTONLINE and one of his buddies came. It was cool. I think NOTONLINE broke his foot jumping rock to rock what a Jackass. LOL But we had a great time. Still going over my pics. I got just under 100. Rock Climbers, Landscapes, wildlife, and some cool window shots out of one of the limestone caves. Next time I'm going to bring some gear to get down into the bigger caves. But the best part of the day was just meeting someone new with similar interests and having fun. Will defiantly do it again.

??? How can I post some pics in this forum string???
Please advise if it̢۪s possible

Yes the trip was a blast. I have some really cool shot but need to make up some good excuses first lol. my camera had a hangover :S. lol Anyways my foot will heal and it made for a great shot. I will try to post some when I have the time to figure it out and would love to go out again on the next meet, so set it up. Please lets just limit the walking until my foot heals. lol

I was thinking the Island would be good cuz I've never been there, but am totally open to suggestions! I just wanna get out and use my camera. I know notonline and Chrome are in...if you guys can reply would be great. I dunno when's a good time, maybe early afternoon? Later afternoon and hang out till dusk? Would give more plannin time. Lemme know guys.

I'm in but as usual Chrome has bailed out. I'm not fussy on hitting the island today due to the weather but I wouldn't mind going out and looking for some neon shots for this challenge. pm me or email me and let me know.

I propose that we consider a GTA get together for the CNE air show held over the long weekend. Is anyone interested? I plan to go, but have yet to select which day - September 4, 5, 6.

Air Show Link

Ontario Place seems to offer the best vantage points to shoot from, anyone else interested? Cheers, Michael (michael.martin@mican.ca)

Randy and I met this morning and toured around Toronto Island. It was great with many interesting shots. Too bad more folks did not show up to enjoy the day. Perhaps we can see more GTA members over the September long weekend to shot the Canadian International Air Show at the Ex?

I land in TO late on the sixth (too late for the airshow I'd assume), but should be around the 7th and 8th. might be able to get free for a few hours to either take some pics or maybe just drink some Sleeman's.

whats planned for this weekend???

I am busy this weekend. But, RANDOD300 suggested a photo tour of Toronto's old Brewery District, which is always fun and interesting.
