Now and again I like to point out a shot that I think has been seriously un-recognised in the voting. Here's another, from the marvellous Adine Storer

Fun!
Can I add an older one?

Agree wholeheartedly with you on that one Ed.
I had this pegged for a definite ribbon

Lee's shot has at least gained some of the recognition it deserved - 8 favourites already. Adine's had hardly been viewed after the challenge. But they're both excellent shots.

I love textures in photos, and these shots are gorgeously saturated with them. Both got 10s from me.

I like that a lot but am not particularly keen on the use of selective desat - the resulting blue just doesn't seem right to me.

PS I just had a browse of the photos you three have selected as your favourites (and added one of Gordon's to my own list). You are invited to have a look at mine - some wonderful images (full of textures, light, shade, shape... just beautiful).

It`s the unusual, almost metallic blue that gives it the appeal for me but I think you have probably highlighted the reasons for it not pleasing as many voters as I expected it would
Regarding the favourites....Thanks Kavey, and I will. |

Both Adines and Lee's shots are wonderful. Something about really good b&w flower shots, I just find special. Here are a couple that I thought really held their own.
This one just has great colors, graphic appeal and perspective
The composition of this one really caught my eye
There were several more but these really stood out for me. |
