I was going for a creative vintage look with a lot of film grain for these. ( shoot 'em in high ISO on purpose)
I kind of like 'em but I'm not sure the goal is achieved.
What do you think of these?

I don't get any feeling of vintage photos from these. Perhaps converted to b/w and 3rd party graining software? Digital noise is quite different than film grain.

As for the compositions of the photos, I think you could do better. There is distracting stuff in the backgrounds and cropping is kind of odd in a couple - like the cat that you cut in half for example.

Just my .02 - hope it helps

Agree with Bill.

Shoot them at low ISO but add film grain in PS or something like that. I´ve experimented a litle with that but first I´ve converted the images to b&w or sepia and been playing with making the images look old.
Post something later.

I think that you should take out the backround in the first 2 and the last one. the third one is soooo cute! thats my favorite of the four. the last one really captures the left eye. the first two, once again I would take out the back round and maybe out in an all black backround, or maybe even blue.
I also aggree with Bill.

Hey Nick, try something like this... first do a little desaturation, then, then maybe add a little sepia tone to the overall picture and finally, purposely add some noise. You end up with something that looks like this:

Thanks for the advice. I'll try some of the thing you said.
