I have family there. I have always wanted to see (and now shoot) the Parthenon (a full scale mock of of the greek version). The hermitage is full of history is in a very beautiful spot. The downtown area has some skyscrapers that have a distinct Nashville feel... Don't forget to check out the music district too!

The Oprey Hotel has an Aboretum that is splendid.
While in Nashville, try Calhoun's for Ribs, BBQ'd pinto beans, cornbread and Cold beer. One of my favorites. |

Thanks for the input! My girlfriend and I just returned and had a most excellent trip! We checked out the Parthenon, Broadway, the "Batman Building" :), the bridge that crosses the river (dunno what the name of the river is). It just so happened that Cypress Hill was having a concert down by the river. Had dinner at Hardrock and heard the majority of the concert. That was cool. Visited the Capital Building and took in about everything we could in a weekend. Cool trip, but a 7 hour drive is starting to take it's toll on me. Time for bed. |

That would be the Cumberland River. My parents own Wolfy's restaurant on Broadway (I created the logo). The place isn't much to look at, but the food is very good. They also run Wolfy's Den up in the tower of Nashville Arena, which offers an amazing view of the city (especially at night). I was going to suggest it to you yesterday, but they said it was closed. :-(
Hope you had a fun trip! |
