Very shortly I plan to sell my Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. Cost new in the UK is about £350 for each and they are only a couple of months old. Before they go to Ebay, anybody want to give me a sensible asking price? both lenses are mint, boxed and come with skylight filters.
Why am I selling these mint lenses? I pick up my 17-40 f/4l in the morning, already have the 50mm f/4 1.8 and have my eyes on a new 70-200 f/4 l with a 1.4 converter. I dont think I'll miss the 50-70mm gap?? oh, and I plan to get a macro lens at some point too so, I need to sell these lenses to finance my new armoury :)

£350 is about USD$635 for the 75-300mm lens and that same lens here in the US is about $400 new. I think you might not be able to sell that lens here in the USA and only in the UK just due to exchange rates.

Thanks Greg, I know the lenses will be most likely be sold in the UK and that lenses in the US of A are lot cheaper. The UK highstreet prices of these lenses is even higher than quoted by WarehouseExpress. These are as good as new but I don't expect to get new prices (how much do you peeps think I'll lose?)

I've never sold a lens before and since they do hold their value, I'd probably start around £300-320 since they are (mostly) new and in mint condition. I might sell my 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 lens since I hardly use it and I really want either the 16-35 f/2.8 L or the same one you are buying, the 17-40 f/4 L. Good luck and I hope you sell them soon!
