All right, it's not a shot OF the Ledges though... It IS the first shot that I used the velia action on. Kind of like the effect here.
Two versions...
Sharp
Soft
Do ya like one of 'em over the other?

maybe something in between?
both feel a bit fake.
wouldn't a polarizer serve the same purpose as that action you are mentioning?

I'm not sure there... The action is supposed to emulate a type of film that to my understanding is quite saturated...

How about just softening the green foliage instead of the whole thing? The soft bridge looks kinda off, but I like the mythical feel of the soft foliage. And seeing as you're going all the way have you thought about faking a blue sky too?

well it will saturate a blue sky, and deepen foliage
and remove glare, and haze for a crisper more saturated shot.
i'm just wondering - would rather shoot the saturation than create it later.
EDIT: that and i recently picked up a polarizing filter...

The soft one looks a bit like paint, I like the sharper version a lot more. |
