The more I use my camera, the more I notice that when I put the images on my computer they look sometimes look very different than they did on the LCD on my A80 (and in reality).

For instance I took a few sunset images last night. The sky was great, the images looked well exposed in the LCD. The histogram showed a well exposed image.

This is about what I see in the LCD:

Then I get home and this is what I see on my computer:

I've looked at it in various programs and with different computers even. Why is the image so different? Is this common?

Thanks

You threw me off for a second since my boss's email address is bbailey...

Do you have the same problem if you look at the image on another computer? Are you sure you have not adjusted the saturation setting on your camera?

I'm not sure what the white point settings are on the little LCD screens of cameras but I suspect they are higher then your monitor. That is if you have your monitor set around 6500K. The LCD may be around 8000 or 9000 and that would explain the blue look. I know the one on my E-1 is around 7500 I think.

Yep, it looks the same on another computer. The saturation setting on my camera hasn't been changed.

My monitor's setting is at 9300k.

Is your camera set for sRGB or Adobe RGB?

I've never seen an option to change that. I will take a look.
