And here I thought this would be a thread about Britney Spears...

Shouldn't there be at least a little motion blur especially around the back of the bike which is supposedly flinging him into the pole? If the photographer were just a snapshot tourist, I doubt he'd have his shutter speed cranked up really high with large aperture just to take a pic of his stationary friend posing in front of a stationary building. The depth of field seems pretty large too for the pic to have been a fast shutter. ...

Look at the photo again; shadows almost directly underneath, very dark sunglasses and over-exposed. It was taken in the middle of a very sunny day. From experience with my camera, on consumer (even prosumer) digitals the sensor is so small that getting a anything out of focus is quite a challenge (just look through some of the thread during the DOF challenges). On a bright day like that my camera will set the shutter speed at its fastest and still want it even faster, even with the smallest aperture. This produces images that are overexposed like this. As I said in a previous post, this looks to be shot with a wide angle lens, and for a snapshot tourist this would likely mean either the fully auto mode or the landscape mode -- either one will default to keep everything in focus.

... I can definitely imagine the guy posing with the bike, leaning against the pole. His right hand could be the holding the handlebars and front wheel in position while his left hand (unseen) could be holding the rest of the bike by the seat at that believable angle, slightly tilted off from the plane of the front wheel. Dunno what he's doing with his left leg but still my vote is that it's fake.

I thought this at first as well, which is why I adjusted the shadows and posted the result. There is a clear separation between the shadow on the pole and the shoulder and neck that created it; a separation that would not be there if the cyclist was actually touching the pole.

Can't a guy lean up against a pole if he needs a little nap :P

I think it's fake. I agree with no blur it is unlikely to be real. The shadow under his heel looks to long for the position of the sun to me.
