did any broadband user tried onspeed with their broadband connection? it claims to speed it up tp 3 times when browsing the net.. onspeed
please tell me if it makes a difference? |

I'd advise against it for anything graphics-related. While I have not tried this specific site, these types of services typically recompress graphics, degrading the quality. You'll notice a difference when voting, for example.

Yep, your typical accelerator. Gawd, I hope there aren't too many voters using these things. The degradation of the images is absolutely terrible!

Indeed. This won't actually increase your download speeds. It just reduces the amount you download. You have broadband, plenty fast for anyone.

Geez, 3x faster than a broadband? It only takes a fraction of a second to load an image here on DPC for me, at full quality. No reason to save a tenth of a second and see crappy pictures.

yes my husband put it on at the weekend, i couldnt believe how
pixelated and blurred all the images were, crap... took it off
- only for quick search i would think
