I am curious if a drop shadow used on a layer to offset a picture from a different colored (white) border is acceptable under the basic editing rules. I searched the forums, but find contradictory answers -- some saying it is okay and some saying it is forbidden.

Is there a definitive answer on this? I have never used one, but was just curious if used on a future submission, if I would be DQ'ed.

You can add a drop shadow to the border. The only thing not allowed in the border is artwork from other sources, and text.
