Hello Good People!
I have been taking a lot of pictures of my lil cousin, whose birthday is coming up soon. Here is one...

Would love to get some feedback as I plan to take many more on her birthday next weekend.
Check out some more pics.

That's a wowser Rooster. Only thing would change would be to have more direct light on her face, it's right side is a little shadowy compared to the left. Cute kid, I like the expression, it sort of shows curiosity.

thanks cool! I agree with the lighting. It was har to get it just right. Oroni wouldnt sit still & the halogen lights wwere making the room a tad bit hot. I'm still having a lot of lighting issues with my portraits. Thank God for the digital darkroom! Still trying to get my shots really sharp from good lighting.
Right now I have 1500 watts of lighting but it gets too hot to use all of it at one time. Hopfully I'l get some reflectors soon that will help a bit with it all.
Thanks again!

The only advice I can give it that I like the authentic background rather than the ones photoshopped in. Looks more natural and better in my eyes.

there is a Halo all the way around her outline. Kind of distracting.

I tend to agree with the comments about the original background, maybe even tone them down a little, after all why detract from such a lovely girl ?
Great shots Rooster.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The original BG left a lot to be desired. I thought I would experient with differnt filters & such. The lighting is still something I need to work on. I find it really hard to get it just right. The exposure is hard when the kid is moving about a lot & moving her hands about fast like little todds do. Its a give & take & I havent found a good in the middle place just yet.
Gonna keep at it tho!
