Is there a way when saving in PhotoShop for the file to retain the undo and steps that were taken/adjusted/edited in PhotoShop?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Nope... sorry.
Your best bet is to keep good notes and save at intermediate steps along the way.

There's no way to actually keep it in the image file, however, with photoshop cs you can set a preference to keep a log of changes. Be warned, this log will contain all edits for all images in a slightly cryptic fashion.

If you do all of your adjustments on separate layers, you can at least undo each type of edit. I mostly use adjustment layers now anyway, rather than messing with the underlying image. It's good practice for you (as I often do) screw up. It also allows you to fade the effect if you've overdone it.
you'll have to save it as a .psd though. converting to jpeg will lose all of the layers. |

| If you plan ahead, you can create a Photoshop action as you work, and apply the same edits later to a group of photos. |
