I like the first one best, both great shots, every time I get a good one like these I find one of the petals is either torn or chewed away,
just me not looking close enough.:)

Am having a ball with it thanks :) I've finally learnt that size isn't everything ;) mind you I'll probably be double dating next week when the 17-40l arrives, providing it lives up to its price tag!

There is something about that first one that is fascinating to me; I love the bud you caught alongside the flower. I think the NI worked beautifully in this case. What great shots -- you must be loving life with that lens.

Thanks for the comment Kylie, posts come and go but comments stay with the pic forever :) I like the dof with the bud and background and tested it in NI to see what is was like softened. I really think the loss of detail in the flower helps the image.
Thanks to dpc for helping me take photographs rather than snaps :)

Well then, whats stopping you? my pc is wired into the neighbours house and I don't eat anymore, its not that hard after the first couple of weeks.

If it was only me then there would be no stopping me.. but I have kids to feed and school clothes to buy.. I have been a good girl this year so Santa is going to surprise me with a DSLR, just haven't decided which one! :)
