Managed to get out between the showers and take a couple of photos today. Keep forgetting to check exposure esp when the 90-300 lens is on, end up with unusable images. Man mode, 90-300 f/4.5-5.6USM. F5.0,ISO 100, 1/320, 185mm focal length, hand held.

Nice shot Sue! Curious why you use full manual over aperture/shutter priority?

I shoot full manual with my Sony always.. control freak I guess. That, and I don't trust the camera's judgement.

Aperture priority mainly for me. I use shutter priority for general sports photography and manual for special purpose eg. good background blur etc....

I started using manual with the Sony as the settings the camera chose were diff to how I wanted the pic to look, esp with fish tank pics.

Would be really interested to hear what settings other people use with their cameras and why...........am still trying to figure the Canon's settings out, what works in what situation.
