I love the way my 300D feels in my hands until I put my Sigma Super flash on it. The flash just screws the balanced feel and I'm wondering... would the battery grip help solve that problem or would a flash bracket be a better option?

[Side question, will the off-camera shoe cord from Canon work with the Sigma flash?]

Thanks for the help folks! This is Unbalanced in SC signing off ;-)

Will love to hear about that because i just buy a Sigma dg 500 super today and a bracker.... I will see how it perform.... i dont think the battery grip is a good buy just because of the price, way too expensive for nothing, will have to buy a battery to make sense and the cost will be about 180+150= 330cnd$... way too expensive !...

I asked about the battery grip a while ago.

I've since got one, and I do like it a lot. It makes the camera easier to hold, even for my reasonably small hands. As well as that, when I borrowed my friend's 420EX it did give the camera more balance, which I can see being a problem without the battery grip.

You need not necessarily buy a second battery immediately, since the battery grip will work with one battery in. Also, you may like to do that to reduce weight a little as a compromise.
