I just made this on my computer. I like "painting" on my computer with a couple of different programs. Tell me what you think of this painting! THANKS!

I love to play around, too, Crystal. I like the texture of the "glass", but I still need a "focal" point to keep wanting to look at something. Sometimes, I will use something like this as a background for something when I am making a card.

The focal point to me in this picture is the horse...If you look real close..there is a horse in the middle. Head is on the right side..down like it's eating grass. The red is it's heart.
I'm kind of weird like that with art.
EDIT:
Here is some other "art" I've done. Also, not to spam but there are more on website. //wilkinsonartwork.com
Well this one isn't digital art..but an abstract photo of my husbands foot on his jeans. ALL comments appreciated!

The picture with the purple swirly sky is my favorite of the ones you posted, Crystal. It gives a very powerful feeling when you look at it. I've seen a lot of paintings with a similar look at the galleries in Taos, NM.
Have you tried painting at all, it looks like you might have a talent for it.

jonpink...hope that wasn't an insult to my abstract art. I think your art is good. I don't see how you are embarrassed of that. I am working on making new pieces today. I would love to try painting on a canvas but haven't yet. maybe I will this fall when I go back to college. i want to major in Art.
anyway..here's my last piece..(made about 10 min. ago)

I think it is so much a matter of varied tastes that I wouldn't be unhappy even when someone doesn't like some of your art, Crystal. To me, "digital art" is more of a "painterly" effect or hightened colors, etc., that I have come to really love. There are so many kinds and just keep doing what you love most!!!! Digital makes us all happier people it seems. Digital makes it so easy to experiment and get creative with. Good luck on your site, too.

The art work is nice, but be careful of filters. A filter can ruin the look, not only that they are easily idehtifiable. I dable too and even in all of my work I never use filters, except of course, GB, unsharp mask, hi pass and on occasion the distorion. |

I agree, the glass effect is just too distinguished. Using it selectively would help, but a filter should hardly ever be seen in the end result.

I would love to see you post a photo for opinions on this photography site and post your digital art on a digital art site.
Sorry, I'm just disappointed that this site is getting farther and farther into digital art. I like digital art. It's not why I joined this site, though. |

Digital Photo Contest has a category for digital art. I haven't been there in awhile but they used to have daily and monthly contests. The work submitted is very impressive. |

I know what you mean. I love the digital art possibilities that photshop provides. In your photo I really like the positioning of the elements ( colors ) in this photo. I am not sure I like the glass effect. Do you have any without the glass effect. I would love to see them.
Here are some of mine.

This is a picture of my jeans I took the other night. I edited it alot .... not sure it is digital art...but it does work for the Abstract thing I was talking about in another thread.
I changed the color of the "thread" in the jeans. Was like a yellowish ... I thought it to be too DULL...so I changed it.
