Is there a DPC T-Shirt available? If not why not. A range of merchandise would be great.

What do you think?

I asked Drew about this recently, and was told that there is quite a bit of paperwork required for monthly sales tax reporting in Virginia, enough to make it questionable as to whether it was worth it.

It's a shame... Maybe a one off, month long window of opportunity would be OK?

How many of us would buy one? I would buy one for everyone in my family :)

This is a truly tragic motion!

As if it's not enough to ignore our families for hours on end while we manicly click little numbers, feverishly pump the Update button and hyperventilate when our pictures are commented on, you now suggest that we emblazon our family members with the culprit's brand? :D

If Langdon and Drew have not already considered this and decided against it, //www.cafepress.com is a great site for creating virtual storefronts.

Using this site, you upload your graphics and images and then create a virtual store full of possibiilities - T-Shirts, sweatshirts, bumper stickers, you name it. You don't have to maintain any inventory this way. Profit comes from selling items in a store above a base price (the base price covers Cafepress' end of things). Any amount above that is profit from a sale.

The tax issue may still be there, I am not sure about that stuff - I just use a free version of the store to make mugs with photos on them, that sort of thing - they have turned out really well.

DPC T-Shirt would be an excellent idea.

Where did this idea go? Cafepress would be an excellent place to do it and there could be a contest to design the shirts. BTW they also have cups, mousepads and even thong underwear. The ideas for the thongs could open up a whole new thread idea.

I'm not sure anyone (myself included) would want to see my entry in the "DPC Thong Self-Portrait" challenge....

I would definitely buy at least two or three, depending on available styles. T-shirts, that is, not thongs.....

I think there's always going to be the sales tax issue. One thing that can be done is to make an official DPC logo/T-shirt iron on image available, and let people make their own. Hence no tax issue.
