If you could go back in time, what historical figure would you like to photograph and why?

The 2nd guy from the left on the evolution charts, because no one else would think of it. Either that or Einstein. Great hair. |

I'd like to photograph midieval princesses and peasants. I don't know if they are considered figures, but I guess I would choose whoever best resembled Maid Marian in true history.

Tough choice.
I can't really settle on one figure, but I would love to photograph ancient Greece at it's pinnacle, maybe photograph the ancient olympics.
Alternatively, I'd like to photograph the denizens of the Cretaceous, T. Rex et. al.
Yeh, I'd need a very fast get-away vehicle.

I could think of a lot, but let's start with Joan of Arc. I think there would be some awesome shots because of her passion, spiritual zeal, and possably a little insanity, plus battles, intense spiritual experience and being on trial. Also just a really interesting period of time.

Marcus Aurelius, and everything that went on in ancient Rome. Or in Pompeii, before the outburst of Vesuvio. |

I would like to photograph Germain Doucet, Sieur de La Verdure. He was the first Doucet (Doucette) to arrive in North America over 370 years ago.
Germain Doucet came to Acadie in 1632 with Commander Isaac de Razilly by order of Cardinal Richelieu (Minister of State to King Louis XIII). They came to re-occupy the colony after the St. Germain-en-Laye Treaty of March 29, 1632. Germain Doucet was at Port Royal and Captain of the Army of Pentagoët as well as the right-hand man of the Governor of Acadia (Charles de menou d'Aulnay de Charnizay).
Jacko and I are direct descendants of Germain Doucet. There are no historical accounts of his appearance. I would just like to go back and photograph him.

It would be incredibly cool to be able to photograph the very first human inhabitants of North America, as they crossed the land bridge from Asia well over 10,000 years ago. Or to photograph Native Americans hunting mammoth in my own state; mammoth skeletons with evidence of human interaction have been found here. I have a small percentage (1/8) of Native American blood; it's amazing that some of my own ancestors probably hunted mammoth here.

If I could take modern equipment with me I think I'd love being a sports photographer covering baseball in the Black Sox-Ty Cobb-Babe Ruth era. If not, I'd settle for photographing Bridget Bardot in her twenties. |

I'd tag along with Edward S. Curtis and photograph the American Indians, but I get to take along my current camera bodies, lenses...
(Edward S. Curtis (1868-1952) left an indelible mark on the history of photography in his 20-volume life's work, The North American Indian.)

Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Frida Kahlo- just to capture the most famous unibrow in all of history, and, of course, Miss Josephine Baker. Send me to smoky Paris cafes and nightclubs early in the last century and I'd be a happy girl.

I'd like to photograph King Louis XIV. I'm kinda of a Louis nut. I'm fascinated by everything about him and his reign. If you've ever been at Versailles or read Alexandre Dumas (I know it's fiction), you can see why. He wasn't a particularly good looking guy, but everything about him screamed "king". Through his portraits, you can feel the grandeur and regalness about him.

I would take pictures of the lost city of Atlantis and would only sell the prints on DPCprints for millions. I get 50%, DPC gets 50%. Yeah! lol! |

Maybe not the person I'd most like to photograph, but it would be interesting to take a few snaps of the set-up for the "world's earliest photograph"

If Adam was created out of mud by God, and not born of Woman, he wouldn't have one ...
If she was created out of his rib, she wouldn't have one either.
Must make it easier to get an even tan ...
