I have an idea for the Words challenge that I'd like to shoot and submit. My problem - I'll be out of town when the challenge voting ends and won't be back for over a week after that date. On the unlikely chance I ribbon, is there a way to let the committee know so I won't be DQed because I can't upload the original until I get back? Thanks, Ann

I had the same issue recently and there is another thread on this, also. The easiest way is to go to your photo at the bottom of the entries and click on "request an admin note". Before I knew this, I had emailed Drew/Langdon and they were kind enough to start the DQ process for me and I sent in my proof before I left. Have a good time!!!

Note that you can only submit your original via "Request an admin note" (an option that is available when viewing your own submission) after voting has started.
If you have to leave before voting starts and won't be back until several days after it ends, you'll have to email your original to Drew or Langdon and explain why you're doing so.
Also, if you use the "Request an admin note" feature, be sure to not only list your editing steps, but also explain why you are submitting your original (in this "I'll be out of town when voting ends" is sufficient.)

Thanks for giving a much more complete answer than I did! I just didn't want her question to slip by unaswered!

No problem Kylie. I just didn't want anybody looking for the "Request and admin note" thing, not realizing it isn't an option until voting starts. =] Plus, it gave me a chance to plug the importance of listing the reason why you're requesting an admin note. You wouldn't believe how many admin note requests we get that are devoid of why they think they need it. So we don't know if they are submitting because they think there is something that might look illegal in their photo and it really does need an admin onte or if they're going to be out of town. |
