Ok so a few weeks ago I had senior pictures taken at a well established local photography place. they always do senior pictures for the seniors at our school...in fact we have to have pictures taken there to go in the yearbook even if we dont end up buying them. well we went to look at them today and they were horrible. i hated how i looked in every pose except three. i was so upset. so i picked out the two i had to have to go in the yearbook and we ordered wallet sizes of two of the poses...but yeah. its so frustrating i wish i could take my own senior pictures...but that wouldnt work out too well. i might go get pictures taken somewhere else...its just so expensive. plus the place we got them done at...all their pictures look the same i could probably look at 100 pictures and tell u which ones were from there. but yeah ok...rant done i just needed to express my frustrations haha

Jenny,

Why not try taking some of your own? Have you ever attempted portrait photography? The nice thing about working with digital is you have instant feedback and can keep trying until you get the shot you want.

or take pictures of your friends and charge them less then the local photography place. You can make some money for lenses, studio gear and stuff.

Doh! And I was dreading the day my CF card would get filled up and I'd have to send the camera in for processing. :)

yeah sometime later this year i want to try some portrait photography with some of my friends but it will be a loong time before i have any time...and i wouldnt charge them anything especially since i wouldnt be able to print up really high quality images (i have a really nice printer...but nothing compares to real studio photography i suppose). it would be good to experiment with though
