Hi guys!
Here are some of my first shots taken with my D70. All of the shots (except the last one) were taken with my Sigma 105mm macro lens. What a great lens!!! It's my prime lens at the cottage since it has more range than my 18-70mm and superbe macro.
Compared to my coolpix, post processing is simpler as the colors and contrasts are truer.
I love the feel of the camera in my hands! It's solid and grips nicely. I'm surprised at how quickly I picked up on the menu options. I still go to by manual but almost never. Everything can be changes so quickly!
Hope you enjoy!! :-)

Very nice shots. I love bug shots, but they don't colaborate a lot. How close were you from the insects with your Sigma lense? Is it an expensive lense? Sorry about the questions but I'm saving money to buy a D70 and I don't know nothing about lenses and how they work.

I was between 30 and 12cm. The Sigma 105mm macro is around $600CDN.
To learn more about lenses just do a "lens" search in the forums. :-)

I just recently picked up a good book on lenses and how they work. It is called "The lens book : choosing and using lenses for your SLR / Roger Hicks and Frances Schultz". I didn't understand that much about them either, until I read this book, it is excellent. But, it is also out of print, I borrowed it from the library. If you can find it, you should definitely check it out!
