I only have one coupler between my Olympus 50mm F1.8 (49mm filter size) and the Sigma 105mm (58mm). Anymore step up rings could cause a problem with vignetting. I have yet to try the set up with my 50mm F1.4 (58mm filter size). I got a 58mm to 58mm coupler when I bought my Canon 50 1.4.

See here for more on my reversed 50mm set up.

well done Jacko. Keep cranking out your awesome images. I certainly enjoy them.

If you have a chance, I'd like to see some pics of your reverse lens setup. I have been trying to so this with a Canon 50MM. The added step down rings seem to make vignetting a problem. I'd like to see how many rings you use, or does the Sigma lens just directly use the macro coupler?

I think I'm better known for my love of macro photography, but I do appreciate all kinds of photography. Like I said in the interview, I feel it's important to pay attention to composition and color schemes in photographs, and this includes macro shots. The same elements which make the 5 photos I pointed out work is the same thing that will make a macro photograph work.

I really want to shoot more landscapes this summer and start doing more (non baby, hahaha) portraits.

For a macro photographer, all your favourites and inspirations are from quite different genres - feeling like branching out ?

That little guy of yours is the cutest. It has been great to watch him grow up and now to hear we get to watch another boy/girl (crosses fingers it is a girl)grow up. That is awesome!

You are an outstanding photographer and I really enjoy browsing your photos.
