What is the hottest selling printer these days? I am looking to buy a new printer but have not kept up with which one is the king at the moment. Any suggestions on Inkjet or dye submission printers?

If you are considering an "ink-printer" (or what ever it´s called, you know what I mean) the some canon printers are very good. Once had an Epson but didn´t like it but I think they have improved very much since. The HP printers are of course of top quality but the ink-tanks for them are very expensive.

i have the lesser model of that printer, the Photo R300, and I honestly can't complain.
the only gripe is that it colorsies my grayscale/ BnW photos with hues of green or purple which is irritating.
other than that, it prints on CD's brilliantly, and it prints to a ery good detail level. I would go for the 800 definately if you can afford it as it is obviously superior.

The only other gripe is that with any multiple-cartridge printer you find yourself on a continuous catch-up run to the shops as when one type of colour runs out the whole printer won't work until that colour has been replaced..and at about 11 pounds a pop, its expensive to carry lots of spares (i usually keep black and yellow spares more as they seem to run out the fastest).

hope this helps.

I would go for the 800 too the quality is excellent, the ink carts are expensive though but i can put up with that for the quality.

The Canon i9900 and Epson R800 are the current leaders. Each has its strengths, but I'm partial to Canon.

I have also been looking at printers and have pretty much settled on the Canon I9900. My research on the internet only turns up with rave reviews, and I like the 8 ink tanks as well a it takes the larger paper sizes. You can also find a pretty good price through the internet. EBAY is not the lowest price.

Yeah, we have the HP Photosmart 7760...not my favorite. It has this little slide thing to move the 4x6 paper back into the printer so it can be grabbed, well it's really flimsy and ours snapped a couple months after we got it and there's something else...hm... Well, the quality's good, but I really have nothing to compare it to so... ^_^
