I came across this link in another forum I participate in. There is quite a detailed comparison of quite a few pieces of software available with a conclusion at the end. Well worth the read.

| Great, in-depth review! That must've taken hours or days to experiment with all those programs. I'm a user of NeatImage myself but after seeing the results of Noise Ninja, I will definitely give it a try :) |

| The author did a service for us all by writing that review. Unfortunately it is getting a bit out of date as NI has a newer version out and there is a new player in Noiseware. I'd love to see an update done as well as the first review. |

I've just been bitten by the photo bug again, and am slowly beginning to pick my Sony 717 back up. I've tried the demo version of Noise Ninja and am absolutely amazed at the results. I tried it on some ISO 800 images from my cam, and it greatly reduces the noise, with barely any noticable reduction in the other details... almost makes em look like ISO 100 images. Maybe not really THAT good, but you get idea. Of course, I plan on buying a Nikon D70 or whatever Canon comes out with to replace the 10D this fall, so it might not do me much good later on ;).
