Hi everyone. I know this has been discussed at length... but how about we leave helpful comments in challenges instead of just the "this sucks" kind? How is that helpful for someone to improve? I don't think anyone is intentionally entering their photos in challenges just to tick people off.
Thanks. |

Maybe next time I will! Perhaps we should have an "Annoying Photo" challenge ... |

I think that's a great idea you both have. I should have just titled my photo "I know this sucks, but I really want to tick you off." :) |

Dont forget the sunset/sunrise classics.
Seriously though i think a challenge of 'annoying' would be rather interesting Lowest score takes the gold.
at least if I try to enter a pic i think is quite good I might even place top(bottom) 10.

Maybe it could just be written into the rules that we aren't allowed to take pictures of any of the wonderous things mother nature provided us. Seriously, what's the deal with the hatred of sunsets, flowers, animals, kids etc here??? Wow, Ansel Adams himself wouldn't even do well in this crowd!
Really makes me wonder why I joined this site if all subjects aren't seen as equal. Should it really matter so much what your photo is of as much as how it was taken?? |

I totally agree with you. I like to use this site as practice and am looking for feedback on the quality of my shots rather than subject matter. I don't enter many challenges but when I do, I do it for fun. Seems like some people just aren't interested in being a good sport... or even in fun. |

People posting picture... like let said for the purpule challenge...
his kid at the zoo in the croud with a somebody wearing purpule shoe....
that ridiculous, about 1/3 of the picture in a challenge should not been there first.
So i have not problem writing a comment like: Picture sucks, just taking place on the server and making me loosing my time seeing it !.... I would be in a better mood and I will maybe give a lot higher score if there is less picture and better quality (in idea too) !....
In fact, you sould be FORCE to comment more than 20% of the picture, and RATE all of them. Anyway that is my private rule... and i do it.... even when I been flame in private messaging.... when i will be tired of that, i just change or delete my email, or quit DPChallenge.com...
Just my 2 cents!
