Hey, I'm willing to give up a few of my crapy shots in either portfolio and/or past challenges to save some hard drive space...:)

Past challenge entries, I'm afraid you're stuck with.... portfolio images can be deleted at any time.

I don't know what server or hard disks they are using for in-which to store images from challenge shots from our own personal images...however, they all need to be stored somewhere and finally one day it was all full....If we can't upload for challenges, then that disk is full....Yes, we don't get discounted for space for challenges as we do in our portfolios as one of our perks to be a paying costumer...

If I'd read the site news, I might not have sounded like a doofus, LOL. :P

Dustin brings up a good point, though. If a bunch of us delete older non-Challenge photos from our portfolios, then that would free up server space as a temporary fix.

Hmmm, thanks...But just think how big of a storage disk(s) they need...with all the prints, all the galleries, challenges, forums, and think how many times just one photo is placed and copied to a gallery from your portfolio... not to forget all thier logos and frames samples. Their storage must be HUGE and yet it filled up...However, I would like to add, if we did delete some of our own shots to save space temporary....It may cause some fuss and more work for the admins. to work out..because those photos that we deleted will be wanting to be place back after a solution is found...which may cause some bandwidth problems....so really I was only joking about getting rid of some crapy photos, hoping that they won't return...:) I just leave it to them and hope that things will work out....

It is probably taking some time since they are (hopefully) backing everything up prior to migrating the data to -- and testing -- new storage media. Probably something the ISP (Sargasso Networks) has to handle, not the DPC site admins.

That's true too...good to know....I'll just wait...no problem...good timing tho, personally, I just need some time off and put the camera down for a while...step back and reflect a little on other ideas and interests. However, will lead me back to photographing those ideas and other interests! :)

Just did something I've been meaning to do but hadn't gotten around to. Deleted about 15MB of images out of my portfolio. If anyone else has some that they have been meaning to get to get rid of, now would be a good time to dump them. Might make enough room so that people could upload their challenge entries while the admins are arranging for more space.

Opps! I shoulda said 1.5 MB. My bad.

I guess, in theory, you just freed up enough space for 100 entries. :^)
