I think 1200 is fine for displaying and choosing here.
People should be prepared to provide a full-resolution version if their image is chosen for the final calendar, especially if there's going to be a print version, and also to sign some sort of release (yet to be developed) to allow DPC to distribute the image in some capacity without further compensation. |

| What is the "cutoff" date for posting images from a given month? Could it be a week after the end of the month so we could post images from the current year that we considered for "best of month" but did not use? Thanks |

that's a good question, I assumed last day of the month was cutoff, would be interested to know if that's not the case |

that's a good question, I assumed last day of the month was cutoff, would be interested to know if that's not the case |
The January thread will close at midnight February 5.
The February thread will be available February 1.
