I've never really seen this discussed and I wonder; when voting on images, if the image is in portrait orientation, the entire image loads on my screen (i.e. all 1200 pixels of length). I can see it start to load in full size, then it does an auto-fit.

After the challenge is over, any portrait oriented images are displayed full size (have to scroll to see the entire image).

I can't remember how long it's been like this, if not forever. Although I thought years ago there was chatter about having to scroll to vote on portrait oriented entries. ???

Is this the same for everyone?

I use both Edge and Chrome browsers and they both act the same way.

On Chrome it's always been this way. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but it seems all files revert at end of voting to how they were before DPC loaded them for challenge display.

I try not to enter direct from my phone too because while I can get those images into my workshop and choose them for challenge entry, they are often larger files.
They get resized for the challenge and then when it's over I'm left with a file in my portfolio that's larger than I want it to be for DPC storage sake.

Yep. Just found it. It's DPC code ... auto resizes for voting display purposes.

I'm fairly certain that storage for the actual challenge entry doesn't apply to portfolio space. Now, the image in your workshop is another story, but you could delete that later, after the challenge.

Right. I've been doing that. Thanks.

FYI an even earlier code change moved the titles from the top of the page to below the image, so that people would have the option of voting on the image before being influenced by the title.
