My new dream:
Dream #3 Snow

We have had a fantastic winter wonderland in the past two weeks over Christmas 2024 and early New Year 2025. It was like a dream, so much sun and so much snow. Everybody enjoyed themselves, including a skier pulled by a horse! :)

I've been away for several weeks and I want to come back with a new video I shot in Norway. Stetinden is the Norwegian National Mountain and I filmed it during a cold morning: Stetinden

Very beautiful. In March 2018 we had a trip booked to Norway but it never came about as we decided to move to Switzerland. Thanks for posting this :)

You should definitely go. I've been to Lofoten Islands (first time in 2011) and I'll edit a video about that area in April. Amazing landscape :)

Hi Guys, in one of the previous messages I wrote about a future Lofoten video and well... it's ready :)

Exceptionally lovely. We had a stopover there a few years ago on a Viking Cruise. Not long enough :-(

Okay you have me thoroughly intrigued this is beautiful thought-provoking and I have no idea what’s going on. Can you please explain?

I love what looks like cotton plants is that correct? It’s beautifully filmed, is it all artificial intelligence?

I wasn't sure anyone will be interested so I just posted the link. Thanks for looking at it.

It is all 3D apart from the voice of the narrator in Polish which uses some AI. It was intended to be a part of my autobiography, a visit to the village where my parents were born. I am in 2 versions - current, the narrator, and the one at the age of 14. However, after 3 months of learning many aspects of the software Unreal Engine I got tired and decided to leave it for the time being. Especially blending and controlling animations of metahumans was very difficult and time consuming.

The fun part for me was to create the movie set from many different 3D models (the white plants are meant to be dandelions) and then making a movie sequence with many lights and 14 cameras :) The ending is supposed to be a portal to the Polish room in the house I made the drone fly through before:

It's stunning and moving. How much time all up did you spend on the latest video? And are all the photos on the wall of you and your family? Looks like your mum and dad on the rocking chairs. The one of you?? On the bike is really cool.

It's a beautiful video—full of melancholy and a mystical atmosphere. Unfortunately, I don't speak Polish (or Czech?), so I couldn't grasp the message behind it. But I enjoyed watching it, and I appreciate all the hard work that went into it.

Thanks, Barbara. The first section says that when I was 14 I visited a village called Medenice where my parents were born, it was in Poland before the second world war, after the war it was gifted to the Soviet Union, now Medenice is in Ukraine. The second says that under Soviet rule in 1967 Medenice were very poor, the house had no floor, just dirt, but there was a lot of moonshine vodka ;)

Anita, I assume you are asking about the drone video? I made it last year, it took at least 3 months to build the environment, the house and learn how to make a smooth camera flight simulating drone. Yes, these are real photos of me and my parents. Same as in Medenice, the close up of the photo is myself with my grandmother, my father's mother, who had 8 children and famously (in our family) said that she wasted her life cooking for men.

It is interesting when comparing these 2 videos, that the first was done with just one camera, while Medenice with 14. I learned a bit of video editing between these two 3D videos hence the explosion of cameras :)

I just discovered that in Youtube if you turn on subtitles (which in my video are in Polish), you can use Autotranslate in Youtube Settings to get subtitles in any language you want, even if you don't know what the original language is! Great, isn't it? :)
