Thanks for the expression of satisfaction for my entry in the "Chains" challenge. Thought I would share another choice that I was considering. It wasn't what I was imagining when I was shooting but it brought a smile to my face:)

Entry:


2nd choice:
"Breaking Out"!!

Both would have scored well with me, especially because they show more than just the obvious chain. The first one is beautiful, the second one is funny.

I think you picked the right one, it's a gorgeous shot. But the other one still could have won.

I like both shots but for different reasons. Your entry is interesting because it's not just about the chains. It tells a story. The "Couldabeen" is more about the chains. Technically I like the 2nd choice better as far as capturing the subject and the edit.

I predicted your entry would be the winner, as it was and scored it highly myself. I also would have scored the squirrel photo highly. Probably the same score. One is simply an outstanding photo (your entry) and one is funny and a solid photo (squirrel). I think you chose correctly but would have done well either way! Awesome photos all around, Larry!
