Has anyone used Neo? I just got it but no plugin for Lightroom! Is this going to change when the final version is released? I could not find any information and their contact email is a robot. No support at all.

I bought it to upgrade. It won̢۪t be out until Feb.

I have already downloaded the early release, have a look at their Website.

Yes, looks like it will simplify workflow.

Is sky replacement in Luminar or PS legal in extended editing?

If you use your own sky, yes. Not if you use a stock sky from their files, or from anywhere else for that matter.

Thanks for the response.

so it would have to be your own sky, taken in the challenge window? But you could draw your own sky? or whatever? do you have to prove you "drew" whatever in the challenge period? or could you have elaborate worlds waiting and then piece them into a current challenge?

and certainly no taking a "picture of your own picture?" asking for some talented extended editing friends...

And taken within the challenge window or treated like textures are? I am assuming the former would apply. I have a collection of my own skies, but of course they are previously shot.

I only recently switched to Neo after a few years using Luminar 4. I bought it for $35 on a pre release deal, but it was several years until it was stable on my system and had enough features to be usable.

Correct.

Not correct. We don't "draw" in Extended, we create out of images we have shot. There are some minor exceptions drifting around (using Photoshop Brushes to create bird silhouettes comes to mind) but it's safer to assume you can't do that.

Right, that's specifically an example of subverting time/date restrictions.

Right, the "replacement" skies, like any other component of your image, must be shot within the challenge timeframe.

My experience with Luminar is that most of the presets are very commercial looking colors and unnatural, you end up editing on LR and PS anyway.
Some one is going to out do them in the near future.

I tend to not use commerical or included presets anyway. When I do an edit I like, I save it so I can start with my own preset.
