I don't know how many of you may have seen it, but there are a bunch of people taking rooms in Kiev thru Airbnb and obviously, not staying.
When you look at the places, you can see which ones are run by individuals and those people get most of the money.
The deal is: Book the rooms & send a note to let the people know you will *not* be staying and that the revenue is for them, or to put up folks who may have need of a place to stay in case their place got bombed out.....
I reserved a room for a few days, cost me a tad less than $100, and from what I can see, a lot of folks are doing this.
The money ends up there NOW, and I'm assuming every little bit helps.
Just a thought...

| Just because a thread is IN "Rant" doesn't mean we have decided it IS a rant :-) This is just where we place topics that have political overtones, and this outrage going on in Ukraine certainly qualifies. "Rant", like "Personal Life", is only visible to logged-in members, so that's not an issue. |

It's plausible that 'Personal Life' threads are searchable as well. Or. The thread mentioned started off in a public facing forum category and was later switched to 'Rant', which occasionally happens. |

Congratulations. I work in the same industry as well. You have to assume that anything you post has the possibility of being visible at some point. If you don't want to share it, don't post it. |
