Everybody thought Croatia would be Englands easy points but I'm not so sure, they did look a good side and they have plenty of talent, knowing a win against England could get them through I think we'll have a tough match.

I think your right it's going to be a tough game now.
And England will have to play better than tonight.
But I think they'll do it.

Hey - at least their goalie didn't give it away to a cocaine-snorting munchkin. :)

I was waiting for that :)
I'm pretty upset by Owen's performance (or lack of it) and Beckam's, Gerrard messed up just once (but was a biggy). As a team they have only come together for about 20 mins of the last 184. Rooney, (whilst the best player thus far) is a loose cannon and needs to be tethered. I remember my son coming back from trials with Everton after playing against Rooney, he reckoned he was an animal at 14yrs old, but he did score from the halfway line!

Amazing goal, off his heel. Impressive! So Sweden is leading its group now?

Yeah! Holding of the goalie with one hand and with the heel 2m in the air scoring with his back against the goal just under the bar.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a fantastic player.
Yep Sweden is still leading the group. :))

But they'd have been nothing without moving Larsson into midfield - now in my book he's the player of the tournament so far.

and Andi - did your son get taken on anywhere?

Sadly no, he had 3 months with Everton (same time as Rooney) then went to Wrexham for 3 years. He didn't get taken on but still plays for 2 Towns on the Wirral and at County level. Beer and Women have now entered his life!

Looks like Germany fielded 12 players. OK - one was wearing black and was English.

Latvia were robbed.

Wasn't he actually wearing yellow? All this selective desaturation getting to you John?

1, possibly 2 penalties turned down, yes, they were robbed. Mind you, Holland are throwing it away right now without help!
