YIPEEEEEE!!!!!!
How long do the new batteries take to charge?
EDIT: OK, the instructions say the batteries take about 2 hours to charge.

It was fast. Kerrisdale Cameras was wonderful, I'm looking forward to meeting the people there in person this Summer. I have only one lens (besides the kit lens), a 70-300 mm f/4-5.6.

They'll still work, just not as long as a full charge. I've heard from posts on dpreview.com that they work well right out of the box without charging at all, but I can't verify that.

OK, my very first picture with the Nikon:
That's all the boxes/packing material on the sofa. Hopefully the pictures will get better. This is a lot bigger camera than the two prior digitals I had, and heavier than my old SLR I think.
