Pretty nice variety of environments for one hike! Is that spiky thing a gooseberry?
I drove down the Oregon coast last summer and most of it was outstandingly beautiful, with a couple of
exceptions.

I don't know what it is, I might be able to find out though.
Yeah, logging makes a beautiful forest into a barren wasteland. I don't agree with it, but it is a resource.

That was up along Seven Devils Road, near Coos Bay. I shot it over my shoulder out the side window as we drove past.
I agree that forests can be a wonderful resource, but not managed the way they (for the most part) have been.
