I see what you were talking about Mag. i looked at the other two galleries of her, and it's clear which days you were on and which one you weren't. The first and third portfolios are awesome. nice job, and good on ya for going back and getting it right.

thanks - it's always the contrasting view points that make it so hard to derive the objective 'best' result :D (although I actually doubt such a thing exists).

Excellent shots there Magnetic, truly excellent.

Finding a good model is just as hard as the taking of the photos at times, and it looks like you are onto a real winner with that girl :)

Usually I prefer b&w but in this instance I think I prefer the initial shots you posted.

Exactly.

On top of that, a person can 'act', ie play a part or a role or a character, in a picture. This doesn't mean that it's about their actual selves.

Perhaps the young girl feels chained by society....afraid to reveal herself. Perhaps she is wanting and craving self expression. Maybe the chains have a far deeper symbolism about the inner tumoil and struggle to find freedom of self.

yeah :/ .. mostly it was tech difficulties that sunk me on that one .. there's sort of a snowballing effect on the morale when the probs continue. Although, I do like the outdoor shots in that set.

Yikes, I think I'll stay away from taking pictures of pretty women then.

might be more the personality of the photographer than the model! ;)

agreed. :) one of the best parts about doing model photography is the fantasy aspect of it--being able to act out your own ideas and visions thru them. kind of like playing with dolls as grown-ups. :)
