Thanks Bob (and Sonifo for the comment too). There are some supreme shots here - I can never get enough of a good sunset - especially if accompanied with a beer and the sound of the surf!

Well, not as good as the rest of you all's, but this is one I took last week in Turkey over the Aegean Sea, straight from the camera. I like the almost hidden couple silhouette at the bottom.

Yes I know I need to level and neat image it, but just wanted to post it.

This is over a railroad bridge in Richmond, VA. I was on a 30-minute quest this afternoon to find the actual name of this bridge. I am not sure at this point the bridge even has a proper name; it was one of those "I wonder what the name of that bridge is" things that got out of hand once I came up empty in Google and started calling city offices :-)

It has ended with me leaving a voice mail for someone in CSX's bridge engineering department. I had already been referred there by the city of Richmond's planning and engineering office and other areas in CSX. All I know at this point is that it was designed by a man named John Edward Greiner. And that nobody in Richmond seems to know what the name of this bridge is.

And I just remembered it is a sunrise to boot... :-)

I'm glad to see the "metal palm trees" in your assortment ... they are so often seen as an intrusion on an otherwise pastoral scene that it's nice to take advantage of them sometimes too.

It occurred to me because in the original post there was a nice grouping of palm photos with this one mixed in, and it looked like it had the same basic shape.
