Good action on the wave. This would have done well on the, er... Wading challenge. |

100-300mm 4.5-5.6 @ 300mm

i got the lens second hand with my (film) 100qd.
The images are cropped (obviously).
remember the 1.6x crop factor. the lens was really shooting at 480mm.

Same lens as I used to have :)
I am planning some surfer photos, probably not until later in the year though.
Got lucky recently and found a surf spot which is alongside a seawall, so you can walk out even further than the surfers if you want, and they tend to surf past you about 20-30 meters away, so am hoping for some decent close ups, or at least no need to a crop.
Great shots by the way.

You captured the action very nicely. I like the first one. These remind me of shots I used to get from HB pier. Good job!

Oh, I'll bet that you had at least a little bit to do with it. I'm sure God would say, "Credit where credit is due." ;^)

Since the general concensus is that the first on is the best so far...

Nice crisp shots. I think I'd be tempted to crop to just the action. Your lens seems to be reasonable quality, so you should be able to get 640px shots that look pretty sweet. |
