Love the site, guys.

However may I offer one humble suggestion?

I feel the contests should be increased to at least two per week.

It's just too long to wait a week for feedback. Keep a week of submission time, but cut voting time back to three or four days (that is plenty, IMO) and start new contests more often.

I think this would keep the site fresher and more interesting.

Three or four days to vote might be ok for you, but I'm on a dialup connection, plus I comment on 30-40 photos each week. I need the whole week so I can just vote on 20 or so photos every evening.

Don't forget that someone has to take all these photographs. A week is just right, IMO. Photographers get feedback instantly when their score changes or someone writes a comment. If you haven't already, go to "Preferences" and check the "current challenge statistic" box to have your submission's info displayed on your homepage.

Also, the administrators are doing this for ...what? free? hmmm. I guess that means they are already doing so much... which is so appreciated! I can't imagine them managing that much more! I was actually wishing for a little more time to photograph - than just a week. But, that's just me and my busy schedule.... husband with two jobs, me with a part-time job, two children, a new puppy, a cat, and two lizards. (whew!)

I'd like to see the week voting period cut down just because it's agonizing to watch my score slowly drop as the week goes on. heh.

If anything I think I would like a second concurrent challenge happening that started every wednesday.

Heck, if we start paying Drew and Langdon, they can have a new challenge every day. What do you guys think? What are your salary requirements??

I just graduated, so I sell to the highest bidder ;)

Drew/Langdon,

Since I know I asked for many of the same things when I first joined, could I suggest something along the lines of a FAQ (in this case, a Frequently Started Threads) section to the site? Contest frequency could be one of them, along with any of the others that seem to pop up regularly?

We have an FAQ section under the Help menu, but it hasn't been updated in a while. Wanna suggest some topics (and maybe their related posts) to be added?

Since you have graduated, what does the future hold for this site?

So far, it's meant that now DPChallenge is the thing that keeps me from real work, rather than school :)

Congrats, Drew! I'm sure none of your fellow graduates founded and maintain a site with hundreds (thousands?) of members!

I wish I had something as impressive as this website to put on my resume when I graduated from college. But then again, there wasn't any such thing as websites when I graduated in '80. Congratulations on the completion of your college career Drew.
