I apparently can't leave well enough alone, but this link was on Boing Boing today!
Other World Notes: Man Makes 8 Mile Minecart Rail in Minecraft & Beautiful Timelapse Machinima to Show It Off
So now we have an example of someone using MineCraft to create an artwork, and then further hacking it to produce a Machinima displayed on YouTube, outside of the game.
8 miles of it.

Just an update on the subject. Decent coverage by NPR on the issue.
California pushes to uphold ban on violent video games
I find it at least a little funny that this was broadcast on the same day California was also voting on legalizing marijuana. |

And around the same time as Schwarzenegger's extreme cuts and attacks on welfare i hear. I wonder what causes more violence and crime. Video games or poverty? |

Heh. Yes. I liked the bit where he pushed his thumbs through a persons eye sockets into their brains. Total Recall i think.
Anyway, this is upholding bans against sales to minors which is already in place and fair enough. They'll play them anyway.

I do not think there is way to choose gaming or porn. They are both essencial things in our lives. I am a fan of LOL but also a Virtual Porn 360 fan. Lets just embrace it! |

I quit playing games years ago when I was so in grossed in a game I forgot to pick up my girls from grade school. Do you remember the old game Zelda. I was so embarrassed. |
