Just been giving my pics from yesterday another look. I've seen many great ape shots, this is not one of them but I'd welcome any constructive critique.

For me, he doesn't have enough contrast to make best use of B & W. Love the expression on his face!

Is it a crop from a larger image?

I'm partial to black and white but the eyes seem more noticable in the color version. I think both images could use some more sharpness and contrast, and perhaps some dodging around the right eye on the black and white.

Incidentally, despite the name it's actually a monkey and not an ape.

Thanks peeps, and yes (unfortunately) it is a crop, otherwise I'd be practising with ps (again) oh, and for those that looked at the carry on or give up thread, this was taken through a fence too, I get it right sometimes :)

Its always good to pic up 'information' along the way too, Barbary Monkey doesn't have the same ring too it lol
