Portraits with closed eyes July 6, 2015
Portraits without eyes December 2, 2015
I think these are different, but not so much. Seems like a duplication in a short time frame. Maybe I've missed the nuance. Another portrait challenge should be a lot of fun! |

I would say that they are quite different and the current one looks challenging. Eyes are eyes, even closed ones. I would guess that the spirit of the challenge is to not include eyes in the frame at all.
Hello again folks :-)
It has been a while since i've been poking around these woods. Didn't renew. Didn't had the time to do it. I will eventually, but i'll enter some open challenges first. Didn't enter Dairy III and Self Portrait IX, but i wanted to. Didn't vote on either of them, although i wanted to. I want to enter Portraits without eyes, but let's wait and see what will happen :-)

+1 to all of the "I want to but haven't"
+1 to the eyes are eyes. I was thinking the same thing -- that closed eyes would be considered eyes and that I was guessing not including the eyes at all. But what do eye know ? :) |

So, the current challenge is "Back of the head" portrait? I assume eyebrows, eyelashes, eyesockets and eyeglasses are DNMC. Quite a challenge to come up with an interesting portrait, unless it's simply the backside view. I'm sure excited about learning something with this one. |

How would eyes covered by sunglasses be "viewed" for this challenge? |

I think as long as the eyes are completely invisible - however, my prediction is that more clever solutions will score higher (but what do I know ;)

I dunno.....I don't think 4-5 months is a short time frame. I'm constantly amazed that after ten years of being here that so many new ideas crop up.
This is definitely different enough for me from With Eyes Closed to be interesting.
