Somehow I find it more depressing to watch a great early score inches down with every vote. Even if they end at that same place, the scoring arcs that start lower and slowly creep up seem to be easier on my mental health than the ones that get my hopes up early only to slide downward all week.
Tate, hopefully your nice score is holding. My score appears to have peaked at 2 votes and has eroded steadily from there. |

I agree  markwiley. I knew that the 7 would never hold but it game me vague hopes of getting my entry among the top photos on my profile page. Now it doesn't even look like it's going to stay over 6.

I was expecting better but (on reflection) it's not as good an image as I thought and you guys are always right ;)

One vote in twenty four hours means I'll probably never shoot an image for a specific challenge here again. If I take a picture and it will shoehorn into a weekly challenge then good, and (if I can be bothered) I may look through my monthly images and possibly submit to a free study.
Off to crawl back under that rock I spent the last 3 years under.
