I'm a bit disturbed, but interested in why they requested it. I've checked my EXIF info and that's all fine. Has it happened to anyone else in the lighting challenge? I guess this is initiation, right :-)

Well, assuming that everything is above baord and legal, and I am sure it is, then ....

Take it as a massive compliment :)

You've done something that something thinks you can't have done without cheating (deliberately or by complete accident), but you have managed to actually do it.

It may just be someone not understanding how to achieve something you have managed without breaking the rules, so they have requested a DQ.

So, don;t be disturbed, be proud :)

I got a DQ request on my 'habit' entry too. Not sure why but I guess someone questioned it.

Did you ever find out why? I'd love to know what reasons people have.

I really liked your pic, I thought it would get in the top 10.

Your 'habit' entry was automatically requested since it was in the top 5 finishers, which is the normal practice now.

Validated! Thanks SC for doing it so quickly :)

Not likely... but just in case... what do you have to do when you get a request? Thanks, Ann

When you receive a request, you need to upload your unaltered original photograph (the file that you copied off your memory card, as it existed before you did any editing to it). There will also be a comments area where you need to include whatever editing steps you took to produce your final photo.

Someone thought you may have digitally altered the image.

Generally speaking, we do not discose the reasons why a specific photograph was requested.

Most proof requests revolve around the editing/post-processing rules. Other common reasons include the top 5 entries each week, and occasionally date questions; though sometimes proof requests are made for reasons other than these. Under the site rules, we can request proof for any reason or for no reason.

Can anyone confirm that? English is so silly sometimes, one typo and you change the whole meaning.

Yes, he meant don't. We do not disclose the reason a DQ was requested.

My originals are in Raw mode. Does that work? Or do I have to send the one that I created from Capture I which is a Tiff? Thanks,

Always send us the original as it came from the camera, ie the RAW file in this case. BTW, my earlier post was a response to Are_62's question :o)
