I finally got a clear night tonight, so I aimed my recently-acquired 8 inch (200mm) telescope at the moon, mounted the 10D, and shot this...
BTW, this was only slightly cropped, it is nearly the full frame.
Not the clearest "seeing" conditions, and I need to refine my focusing technique, but not too bad a result for a first try. Comments welcome.

Looks very clean to me! I have an old 8 inch Celestron (2000mm fl) but my only digital SLR weights 4 pounds!
Might try it with one of the smaller cams using eyepiece projection.

Hi James,
The OTA is an older Meade, 200mm aperture, f/10 (2000mm FL). The actual model is 203-SC EMC. I think it dates to 1983, it's a "white tube".
It came with a CG-5 mount with two motorized axes, but I haven't fired up the drive(s) as yet.
I'm awed by the visual performance, the detail is incredible. It appears to be perfectly collimated as-recieved and the optics are flawless and relativley clean. Got the OTA, mount, tripod, diagonal, a telrad finder, the original Meade finder, and three eyepieces for $750.

4 pounds! Whew! Well, if you've got enough counterweight, you're good to go...
