For our opening round of the DPL, here are the past results for Road Signs.
Road Signs - First challenge ever!
Road Signs Revisited
Road Signs Re-revisited
Road Signs IV
Road Signs V
Some observations:
- The very first challenge has an ID of 2.
- Interesting voter pattern in that very first challenge.
1st - 8.0449
2nd - 7.1047
3rd - 6.9565
4th - 5.8989
That is a hell of a drop from 1st to 4th. |

Well there were only 9 entries, so 4th is ranked just one spot above the middle!

9 entries and 89 votes!
At that rate, we should be getting about 500 votes per challenge now.
Edit - it's interesting that there were 89 votes, considering user #89 didn't register until 2/1 or 2/2/02, and this challenge was in the middle of January.

I'd actually prefer people DIDN'T do this... The more people study the past winners, the more they seem to produce derivative entries. I'm more interested in seeing how the entries CHANGE over time... But that's just me, I suppose... |

We used to do it all the time and I did it in my teams thread... I wasn't going to post it for everyone because I wanted the upper hand. |

Holy Toledo would you look at the entries numbers for this one - and there are still 2 1/2 hours left!

More entries than any challenge this year except Best of 2014. And on a singularly uninspired and uninspiring topic - though I do appreciate the nostalgia behind the choice :)

Not all the teams have 9 members. I bet the average is 8, if not a tad lower. Plus, not all the team members are paid members, so some cannot enter this challenge. Conclusion? We may have returnees who aren't even IN the DPL, lured by the bright lights and the smell of popcorn on the midway :-) |
