Too dark?

What cropping style?

Shot a bunch of sunset shots a couple months ago. Experimenting with different a circular polariser, a warming filter, and different manual bracketing expsures.

Does the warming filter help or do you prefer the whiter clouds? Thanks for any imput.

I am usually at odds with the general taste, so I am probably notof much help. But for what it's worth -- I REALLY like the top, darker one. The other two are "pretty", but not compelling to me.

I like the last one the best!If the sun was a little lower possibly more color would be available?

Your 'possible changes' shot is probably my preferred one - it has an off-centre compsoition which helps since there is not much peripheral interest or leading lines to benefit a centered arrangement. This could be enhanced however with something in the foreground such as a bird, boat or human walking a dog, etc.

Unfortunately, while sunsets are normally wonderful to behold they are notoriously difficult to dramatically convey in photographs, which is why they need extra help form other points of interest - unless they are simply breathtaking in their own right.

Look at these for example:

It must be my "dark side", because I like Faidoi's added dark one also. LOL The examples offered were stunning, too; I commented on a couple that I had missed seeing before.

Hope you don't mind that I did this but I like sunset2 the best after some adjustment in photoshop.

I like those shots faidoi. I would be interested in what they looked like after the sun had set a bit more.

This is a sunset I did a while ago.. tell me what you think.
