Let's do it! 100 metres
05/24/2015 10:43:35 PM · #2
Everyone will live on a mountaintop or a coastline all of a sudden.

There is a lot to find in 100 meters. Just gotta look :)

I would enjoy it.

Aside from my previous snarky comment, Yes, I would like this one. My overgrown backyard could actually be a benefit.

you know you can tell a lot about a person, just by looking at their yard :-)

Validation will include requirement to provide coordinates of location of the photograph and of your home.

What you can tell about me is that I hate yard work.

lets do this, but get rid of the metric feel- call it 300 feet or 100 yards.

hell- call it the "quarter mile" challenge.

let's just call it Earth

not a huge fan of this during DPL due to the trust factor.
06/03/2015 01:00:44 PM · #13
whats a metre?
06/03/2015 01:31:20 PM · #14
Yes.

Ah, I do remember this. This occurred four years ago when I was moving my daughter to Minnesota, and I submitted a photo that was just a bit more than the "100m outside my home" description. Like 1,135 miles more, but who's counting?

She's moving home next week. I can't wait.

Maybe we should just make it a hundred paces, and skip standardized measurements altogether. It's not like anyone can tell how far it is in any case.

Finally a practical use for my stilts.

Is that a 1 or 1,000? I'm so confused by all of this "other country stuff" :-p

I'm all for it provided validation includes a geo-tagged original photo and a copy of your lease/mortgage. Otherwise let's wait until after the DPL, things get squirrely enough.
