I have been swearing by my black rapid sling strap, love it! Paid less than $30 on ebay for it, only thing that is a pain is when I want to use it on my tripod, then I have no straps on it, but having it off from my neck has been a lifesaver

I have a Q-strap, which is a Black Rapid knockoff. The first one I bought was fantastic and I still use it. I then bought a second batch as gifts and the rubber gripper on the QR plate didn't grip as well as it should. Easily resolved with a smear of some black silicon adhesive. The last one I bought had a strap made of a much flimsier material that twisted around easily and I didn't like it. For under a tenner, however, it is worth trying one.

Q-strap on Amazon

One advantage over the Black Rapid is the plate on the bottom has another tripod socket, so you don't need to remove it to put in on a tripod. The plate can be bought on its own, but I can't locate a link to it right now.

I have a Peak Design setup for everything....

I have a Clutch on both my D600 & D810. These things are fabulous. I *hate* neckstraps.

I have a Slide that clips on to both of the Clutch equipped cameras. I tried a couple different straps as I was looking for something I felt safe with my D810 on, and that would be out of the way and comfortable on my motorcycle. The Black Rapid was close, but I couldn't get it far enough around back of me. The Slide is PERFECT!!!

Vivi LoVi shot this pic of me with the D810 resting where I want it when I ride.....

I have a Capture that fits the base plate for both the Clutch equipped cameras. The Clutch base plate is an ARCA style that does NOT fit my Manfrotto RC-2 ball head. BUT......the plate for the Capture WILL fit my tripod, so I just use my Capture for my tripod, and either of my cameras are ready to snap right into place. The Capture, ostensibly is to hang your camera from your belt or a knapsack/camera bag strap.

Yeah.....try that with a D810, a 28-300, AND a battery grip. It will pull your pants off and you can't walk without leaning to one side. I didn't much care for the Capture for its original intent. So I was delighted to donate the Capture to my tripod.

I *finally* have my transportation, grip, and tripod all sorted out.

Thanks for the info, I ordered one this afternoon. Slightly different branding, but the same strap. I wish I could have it for a gymnastics competition tomorrow.

That looked interesting ... turns out I'm small enough I can get my Canon into that position using the regular neck strap ...

Prolly should have mentioned that caveat. I am a LARGE fellow, but I also have a thing about straps 'round my neck. The Slide allows me to wrap my camera the whole way back to that position without strangling me. The Black Rapid strap was comfortable at my side, but I don't really want my camera in the slipstream.
