Man, there is nothing more disappointing than getting all excited to open your B&H box only to find they sent you the wrong thing! I ordered a 7ft shoot-thru umbrella and they sent me a 7ft reflective umbrella....now I gotta wait another week to play with it! Oh well, I guess on the bright side my new 50mm 1.4 comes in a few days.....

I hope that's the worst disappointment you ever experience in your life.

Have you considered retaliating? Send a few thousand glitter bombs in revenge.

Um no, it hasn't been. I've experienced a lot of bad things, a bit of artistic liberty there when I said "nothing worse" (where is the eye rolling emoticon when you need it?

Cory, please elaborate on these glitter bombs. I don't know what that is but it sounds like great fun.

This site will glitter-bomb your enemies.

And remember, glitter is the herpes of the arts and crafts world.

I heard their customer service was really good, :0))

Sorry you had to find that, I would be disappointed. I will be making my first purchase with them in a few weeks

In a statement to WOWT 6 News, Congressman Fortenberry expressed the seriousness of the act, âAnyone is free to disagree with me, but to resort to these tactics in a heightened threat environment is reckless and a waste of precious law enforcement resources.â

I know, insulting a member of Congress is crossing the line, after all, their stupidity and general asshattery is all in the name of America.

How is pointing out the hypocrisy of the man's statement an insult?

His statement is an insult.

What there was no need for is the Gunnery Sergeant's gutter language. As amusing as it may be to some of our members, it's wildly, over-the-top offensive to others among us, and it served no purpose, so I bagged it. It h.ad nothing to do with the fact that a congressman was being insulted

I find the congressman's behavior to be far more wildly, over-the-top offensive than any of the most vulgar epithets ever uttered by the most foul-mouthed Marine.

Maybe you should bag him instead.

That's completely irrelevant and you know it. I'm tasked with maintaining a level of civility in these forums. Language like what you used is not acceptable in DPC and that's an end to it.

No, it's not at all irrelevant and you should know it. Vulgar and offensive actions on the part of the congressman were met with words appropriate to those actions, though the words were far less obscene and wasteful than the congressman's actions.

And I stand by my assertion that the true tragedy occurred at the time the congressman was conceived.

This would have been fine to post. Your original quote was simply not appropriate for DPC.

I've dealt with B&H for a number of years now, without incident. Sorry to hear you had a problem, smardaz.
Is this the first time you've had a problem with this business? Or has their once wonderful service gone 'south' more than once.

Hope all is well with you...and that your pictures of San Francisco from last year came out well.

Awww, I appreciate the offer, but there's no gratuity needed. ;-) I just do this for the love. :-D
